WatchVault is a platform for watch enthusiasts to track prices across luxury brands, manage their personal collection, and connect with other collectors. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Account Data

  • Email address (for login and account recovery)
  • Display name and username (for your public profile)
  • Password (hashed, never stored in plain text)

Collection Data You Create

  • Watches in your collection (brand, model, condition, photos)
  • Your wishlist and price alerts
  • Community posts and comments
  • App preferences and notification settings

Automatically Collected

  • Basic, anonymous usage analytics (features used, session length)
  • Error/crash reports to fix bugs

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide watch price tracking and collection management
  • To send price alerts you've opted into
  • To power community features (profiles, posts)
  • To fix bugs and improve the platform

We never sell your data, show you ads, or share your collection details without consent.

Payment Processing

WatchVault is currently free. If we introduce paid features in the future, payments would be processed by Paddle, a Merchant of Record. Paddle would collect payment information directly. We would receive your subscription status but never see your credit card details.

Price Data

Watch prices displayed on WatchVault are estimates aggregated from public sources and community submissions. They are for informational purposes only and may not reflect actual market transaction prices.

Data Security

  • All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Passwords hashed with industry-standard algorithms
  • Private collection data is only accessible by your account

Your Rights
